Effective Date: September 30, 2026 · Version 1.0 — Last Updated: September 30, 2026

Dreamworld respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for your personal information is Dreamworld, 5 Costa Ct, Broadbeach Waters QLD 4218, Australia. For any privacy matter you can reach us at [email protected].

2. Categories of Data We Collect

We collect only what you choose to give us and what your browser sends automatically:

  • Contact details — your name, email address and message when you email us;
  • Technical & usage data — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and approximate (city-level) location;
  • Cookie data — see our Cookie Policy.

We do not collect payment information, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive information.

3. Purposes of Processing & Legal Basis

How we use your information, and why:

  • to respond to your enquiries — on the basis of taking steps at your request;
  • to improve our content and understand which reviews are read — on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a useful guide;
  • to keep the site secure and working — on the basis of our legitimate interest and legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the site, under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law. Current third-party providers include our website host and Google Analytics (traffic measurement). The cookies these set are listed in our Cookie Policy.

5. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside Australia. Where we transfer personal information overseas (for example to servers in the United States or the European Union), we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. Retention

We keep email correspondence for up to 24 months after your enquiry is resolved. Aggregated analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. We delete or anonymise personal information once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security Measures

We apply reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls and limiting who can view enquiries. We protect and safeguard your data, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights (Privacy Act 1988 / APPs)

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to access and correction of the personal information we hold about you — you may request to access it or ask us to correct it, and you can ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will action reasonable requests promptly. If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
